3. Know Your Responses
It is imperative that you prepare. From your message the viewer
will gain insight into your intellectual qualities, enthusiasm,
maturity, presentation and oral communication skills.
When preparing your answers, develop key words that would
help initiate a conversation about the topic. Keep in mind that
this is not a script but rather a chance for you to discuss freely
the message you are trying to convey. Responses should be no longer
than 30-40 seconds in length.
Practice makes perfect! Practice in front of a mirror, or in front
of friends. You will be able to re-take any section you are not
comfortable with, so don’t worry, have fun with this..
4. Duration
Your studio appointment will go for approximately 45 minutes. Most
people will not use up all of this time. Should you require additional
studio time an extra fee may be charged.
5. Keep Good Eye Contact
The digital camera is situated at eye level and can be adjusted
at any time. Ensure a good degree of eye contact so that when an
employer views the Interactive Resume they get a full appreciation
of the confident you. If your eyes stray too much it will be unsettling
for the viewer.
6. Dress
Dress for success! Colors are encouraged. Professional attire is
expected by most, if not all employers.
7. Be Punctual
Treat the studio session as a mock interview. There are no good
excuses for being late for an interview so try to arrive a few minutes
early. If you miss your allotted time, invariably your Interview
time will need to be rescheduled.
8. Know the location
Please click on Location to find your
Studio Location.
9. Be Yourself
Your future employer is interested in YOU, not a rehearsed speech.
Your responses should be candid, conversational and natural. This
is excellent practice for your future interviews so be confident,
relax, enjoy it and smile! Your Drake Interactive Team is there
to assist you through this process, and help make you shine.
10. Closing the Studio Session

so make sure you tell your prospective employer that you look forward
to the opportunity to meet them in person for a face-to-face interview.
